If you are like me and haven't changed your boards all year, this might be helpful! I love getting new ideas from other music teachers and this site also has printables so you can reproduce what you see! http://www.musicbulletinboards.net/
I have one board. I don't change it all year. I pick a "Music Star" at the end of class each day, uses up about 3 min. of class, but it has cut down on some problems. They get to add their name to the board on a Cut out star, be the line leader AND sit anywhere they want with stuffed Pumba the next week. They are also the classroom helper. It cuts down on me having to hear things like...I'm the paper helper today and I'm the line leader. So now I leave it up all year and the kids love to investigate it as they line up to leave!
